Recently, we’ve been talking about responsible dog breeders and how they should flea and worm their puppies before they leave to go to their new home.  However, although these are important health considerations there are other factors to consider too.

When a puppy leaves his litter, he is leaving behind all it has ever known including his brothers and sisters as well as his mum and surroundings, to come to a strange place with strange people.  To help him settle in, it is a good idea if the breeder will let you take some old bedding or an old toy that will smell of the litter.
