Canine Respiratory Infection

Canine respiratory infection seems to you or me like the dog has a common cold.  It is infectious and can be passed on to other dogs.

Symptoms

• Blowing out of their nose like there’s a blockage
• Runny nose
• Wheezing
• Sneezing
• Hyperventilating

Note the dog’s behaviour otherwise will probably seem quite normal

Vet Recommendation

The vet will probably prescribe a short course of antibiotics, usually around a week to ten day’s worth telling you to bring the dog back if there has then been no improvement or he still has symptoms.  Usually the symptoms will clear up within that timescale.
