I can pretty much guarantee that anybody watching this video who has ever had a dog will at some point be pointing at the screen and identifying with their own experiences of their dog.
Personally I had several. Second dog in the video – don’t you just hate it when dogs do that?
And don’t you just hate it when you’ve just bathed your dog or tidied up and the little monsters (ahem, lovable rogues I mean) decide to mess everything up or decide they have an itch that can only be satisfied by a good roll around in the grass or the mud?
Watch and enjoy, it’ll give you a giggle
Who Let The Dogs Out? – The most amazing home videos are here
I haven’t posted any video material for some time, so I thought today I would share an amusing dogs video that somebody sent to me earlier this week.
It’s titled Talking Dogs and is bound to brighten up your day, much like our dogs friends do every day. Last night, I was struggling to switch off from work – amazingly, even a glass or two of wine wasn’t helping – and the only thing that eventually worked was to curl up on the sofa with my shih tzu and watch some mindless television. Ah, the society we live in today.. enjoy the video and let me know your thoughts.
The Americans are obsessed with them and the UK fans aren’t much better. This breed has been made famous by the celebrities who carry them round like a handbag, in their handbag and dress them up in daft little outfits.
Now there is a film released, called Beverley Hills Chihuahua, which took $29 million in its opening weekend so it is the US top movie at the moment.
According to Blatherskite, these rat-like creatures are no better than pitbulls. You wouldn’t think it to look at the little creatures, who do certainly have a rat-like appearance, but as I reported last month, in one survey they came out as one of the most destructive dogs, so it begs the question, why are they so popular? Can anyone shed some light on the matter for me?
This weekend, I took about 50 photos of my dog in the space of about ten minutes as she lay on the settee between my brother and father, in an effort to try and get at least one or two decent pictures without the usual doggie red or orange eye. It amused me greatly to look up from my camera and see my brother looking decidedly dazed by the flash of the camera
At least the days of wasting film and money are gone, oh the joys of digital photography!
Anyway, somebody told me today that there is a way to get rid of red eye when taking a photo of an animal but they couldn’t quite remember what it was, which was a bit annoying as that could save me some time. Apparently, it was something to do with standing closer than you mean and then backing away, as it’s something to do with the cornea of their eye or something like that. Anyway, I’d be rather pleased if anyone could give me some advice on it and if I find anything I’ll post it here. Thanks!
Following last night’s Eastenders episode, I think it’s now safe to talk about it. I was gutted last week to have the Eastenders storyline RUINED for me by MyTwoPence, a blog that talks about anything that is current news. It says ‘current news’ but it told me that Wellard was going to die a week in advance.
Yes, I’m afraid that Wellard’s illness doesn’t end well.
After 14 years in the soap, Wellard has prompted a wave of emotion all over the UK for Eastenders fans and MSN has today posted the Top TV Dogs in honour of Wellard. Something tells me it may be a little biased though, because whoever did the list is obviously a huge Eastenders fan as there seem to be a lot of Eastender dogs in it. I mean, what did Terence the Llasa ever do in Eastenders to make the Top TV Dogs list? Ahem.
I’ve seen this dog video before but it still makes me laugh.
It’s not your typical video. We’ve all seen the ones, or experienced it with our own dog, where the dog runs into the patio doors or something daft because they cannot see the glass and try to run straight through it.
No, this dog video is a labrador whose owner opens the door and the dog STILL won’t go out because he seems to think there’s glass in it. Labradors are a pretty intelligent dog breed, and I guess it is quite intelligent to anticipate glass being in the door – either that, or he’s been thick enough to walk or run smack bang into glass so many times that he’s now scared of doors!
Anyway, without any more to-do, here’s the video, sit back and enjoy – it only takes 1 minute, so that’s probably just enough time for a biscuit but not enough for a cup of tea, sorry
Most dogs love to chase rabbits, cats or birds, but they don’t get to see squirrels as often. Our local park, however, is full of them and although my dog has never been too bothered about chasing other dogs or birds, she absolutely loves squirrels.
Having said that, she’s a shih tzu – not the brightest of dogs at the best of times (or so they would have us believe, I think it’s a conspiracy myself), so when the squirrel runs up the tree, my shih tzu normally runs round and round the tree wondering where it’s gone.
Here’s a video of a dog that did realise where the squirrel had gone to and see what he does. Watch it to brighten your day up for 16 seconds!
There is a small greyhound stadium close to me for amateur greyhound racers. A friend wanted to go so I thought I’d ask round and see when the next race was on. Turns out the greyhound races are over for this year, but there are still a few Sundays of afghan hound racing!
I’ve never heard of afghan hound racing before and the idea to be honest sounded quite preposterous, and i did wonder if someone was pulling my leg but no, apparently Read the rest of this entry »
I think I may have talked about this before, as it is definitely not an option for ‘making money’. In fact, it’s very expensive. You might end up with a few hundred pounds profit from a litter but you’ll have spent more than that on your bitch over the year. Indeed, with this recent litter, my bitch cost me quite a lot in vets fees – but she is worth it so I don’t care.
Today, I came across a site called How Rich Will I Be. It’s a fun little site where you answer 15 multiple choice, quick questions and it tells you how much you’ll be worth. Here’s my results – and I definitely wouldn’t get there by breeding dogs! Have a go, and leave a comment to let me know what you got – no cheating mind!
Now, I know some breeds of dog are more intelligent than others. Indeed, many people have said that shih tzus are quite stupid, but I know from experience that they are only stupid when it suits them.
However, this picture has got to take the biscuit. Talk about stupid, as the title of the email that was sent to me with the picture said, this dog is just ‘one second from disaster’.
What is the best measure of this dog’s stupidity? The fact that he’s doing this in the first place, or whether he will actually try it again afterwards? Read the rest of this entry »
