Dachshund Dog Adopts A Pig!

We already know dogs can welcome some strange animals in to the litter – like in our earlier article about the papillon adopting a squirrel, but at least a squirrel will stay quite small.  This, however, is an amazing story about a dachshund, also known as a ’sausage dog’, who adopted a piglet last month in America.

The mother pig wasn’t able to take care of her little piglet, so the piglet was put in with the dachshund litter whilst his eyes were still closed.  Imagine the shock when he opened his eyes!  It’s the cleanest piglet in the world because the mother dog licks him just as much as she does her puppies.
