<description>This topic is very important. Dogs do die in hot cars even with the windows open. I have seen several suffering dogs and a few who have died because of ignorant owners. I have rescued suffering dogs from cars on sunny days by smashing windows and breaking into cars when owners can&#039;t be found. I would encourage anyone who sees a dog who looks uncomfortable in a hot car regardless of whether the windows have been left open, to call the police. If the dog is looking distressed or suffering, then a quick search for the owner and a call to the police telling them that you are going to release the dog by whatever means you can, I think is perfectly acceptable!!
