German Police Dogs Wear Shoes
In Dusseldorf, Germany, their police dogs are being trained to wear shoes so they won’t hurt themselves on pieces of glass. The Dusseldorf police have twenty police dogs, a mixture of german and Belgian shepherds and they’ve been hurting themselves on broken bottles and glass in the city centre and in and around the football stadium whilst doing their routine checks for explosives and drugs.
The shoes the police have bought are plastic shoes, freely available on the open market, so if this is something you may be concerned about for your dog, you can buy him/her their own pair of police dog shoes!
