Kennel Club Retreats – and changes breed standards!

The Kennel Club has finally backed down amidst all the bad publicity it received since the BBC documentary about pedigree dogs and their poor health when overzealous breeders breed only to win dog shows.

The first one yesterday was the pekingese and others will follow suit.  It has annoyed some breed organisations but hey, who cares, tough poo, about darn time if you ask me!

Funny how it took them so long but since the BBC threatened to stop covering Crufts and the RSPCA and Dog’s Trust said they’d no longer support the club, hey, they’ve decided there is something they can do after all.
