Wheelchairs For Dogs

dog wheelchairYou might remember the earlier article about Faith, the little biped dog who can walk on her hind legs. I’d say that’s fairly unique, so if you have an elderly or disabled dog, you might be interested to know that you can buy wheelchairs and carts to help your dog to walk and keep active. They can support the back, front or even all four legs.

As you can imagine, there are very few places where you can purchase them, but there are two that I know of – the American company DogKarts and DogMobile, which is based in Bridlington in the UK. Both companies were created because the owners had a disabled dog and couldn’t find anyone to help them and both companies will ship worldwide.

It is a nonsense to say that Dogmobile hads a paraplegic animal and therefore built carts. Bob Griffiths bought the idea and has never had to look after a paraplegic animal and this is why their products are so badly designed. Check their own website for the validity of this statement.
